Relevant Networks, a trusted IT partner for small and medium-sized businesses, is seeking a Level 1 Computer Technician to join our growing computer consulting company in the Greater Grand Rapids area.

At Relevant Networks, a position in IT is about solving a customer’s problems in a positive, professional, and courteous manner in order to become their most trusted technical adviser. You will resolve computer-related issues while building a strong rapport with new and existing customers. The strongest candidate will possess strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills, as well as previous IT experience.

Work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with occasional evening and weekend work. This is a full-time position with a benefits package featuring IRA retirement planning, life insurance, short and long-term disability insurance as well as paid time off.

Design, engineer, and monitor network system
In building wireless as well as building to building wireless networks
Managed Services including advanced backup & recovery
High speed data wiring
Voice services
Internet Management Services
Web Hosting

Level 1 Computer Technician Duties:

Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software
Resolve issues for customers via phone, in person, or electronically
Configure and optimize desktop and laptop computer systems
Install operating system software, patches, and upgrades
Perform backups and recoveries of data files and operating systems
Perform data migration to new computers
Domain-based server administration (managing users, shares, printers, and workstations)
Administer email accounts for both in-house and cloud based accounts
Track customer issues and resolutions
